What has it been like to study at LUT and live in Finland?
It has been a great experience to live in Finland and Lappeenranta. At first, it was a little bit challenging for me as I come from a crowded country and a big city. It took a while for me to get used to a small and cozy city like Lappeenranta, but after more than two years I can say I am now doing well here. Also, the weather was the other challenge for me in my first year here. Not only the freezing winter but also the darkness is quite challenging, but after some months you will learn to cope with it – just be patient!
Why did you decide to be an LUT ambassador?
Being an international tutor for one semester at the university motivated me to apply for the ambassador position. I truly enjoy helping out, meeting new people and sharing my information regarding the great environment at LUT University, so I decided to apply for the position and thought that my experience as a tutor could help me to succeed as a student ambassador.
