Keep on moving and progressing with your thesis! Our mind is powerful 🙂 Big courage to all students who pursuade a degree! )))
Motivation for a thesis
One of our teaching professors said, “An every cook can make a soup but a chef cooks professionally” meaning that we are students, we all know how to write reports, course works, papers, but only a Master makes it professionally. This professor told us that we should understand and see a difference between being a Master and not being a Master. She has compared two things, “cooking a soup” and “leading a process of a food preparation”, which means that if you know and able to lead the food preparation process you are able to cook plenty of different dishes not only a soup.
Difficulties with a thesis
- Objective
- Subjective
You’re able to get through these challenges because you’re a Human! At the moment I will stop on the objective reasons, and continue later on the subjective ones. The most common point to struggle in a thesis writing is a process of developing a structure and a vision of the whole written thesis project.
Software for structuring
You’ll need a software to structure your thesis! For example, I’ve explained the structure of my thesis right in the introduction part and I’ve used the Cmap software (look at the picture below).
So I’ve shown on a concept map areas of the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology implementation in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes, and the same is the title of my thesis. I’ve showed the parts and combinations of concepts and highlighted a pathway of my particular study in this broad field. I’ve got a very good remark from my scientific advisers for a simplified visual representation of the whole thesis. There are many different free or shareware software, for instance mind map tools, MS Visio and even the SmartArt objects in the MS Word. They all are useful for structuring and representing the thesis, so make use of them and you’ll succeed! =).
